I knew I would hate my ipod before I bought it. I bought it anyway. Now it’s broken. Now I really hate my ipod.
Reasons to hate ipod:
Can’t delete songs without connecting to a computer
Crappy ipodservice.exe and ituneshelper.exe that stays resident in memory at all times (come on, it’s a plug and play removable disk drive, Windows has everything it needs to use this)
Hardware that mysteriously stops working when you’ve treated your mini quite well for it’s 18 months of existence. This is absolutely ridiculous. Of course none of the “ipod 101” repair tips have fixed the “sad” ipod icon.
Ever try fast forwarding through a single 60 minute track? You’ll be dead by the time you find what you’re looking for.
So as with all things Apple, I cannot recommend anybody to actually buy and use any ipod. Sell their stock in the first quarter of 2006, after they announce their 4th quarter xmas earnings, by then they should have a lot of warranty claims from sad ipod owners.
